This Friday there is going to be an event that is BLOWING UP the Spanish Music scene in LA. Automatico will be bringing us the best of Latin Rock, to Miami Beach Club, along with the band Hello Seahorse from Mexico who will be performing. I am very pleases to present new music to the public at KSJS and open their mind to new up and coming artists like Hello Seahorse, because it is time to get out of the Mana mindset. With that said Check out the flyer!

Gaff Art...

Recently I have really gotten into graffiti art. Magazines like juxtaposed and clout have really demonstrated the talent that lurks in nearby cities. Chicago and NY many be some of the bigger cities with a lot of graffiti and “bombings” to offer, but Los Angeles, Long Beach, San Jose and Oakland have remarkable works that deserve recognition. I recommend both magazines I mentions because they really give credit where it’s deserved!

Blogging/ Podcasting

I was first introduced to blogging when I was in high school with the site xanga.com. I would write about the BS drama of high school. Blogging is an online diary in which people either complain, promote, or seriously try and inform readers of interesting thoughts and experiences. I stopped writing in my xanga after a while because I was annoyed with the things I would write and diaries were never my thing. Blogging can be fun when there is valuable information being written. With that said check out www.partyben.com, he has some sick mixes!

Podcasting is something I have been into for the past 2 years because I have take part in 2 online radio shows. One was through the company generacion radio and the second is union rocker radio. Both have positive feedback as well as strong recognition with its market. Bands that would be interviewed on the show would have the chance to interact with fans/ listener as well as later post their interview on their band sites. Radio has come a long way and hopefully it will continue to grow the way it has been.

The Net

We are a generation that is far more progressive and productive then any other. Our usage of the Internet is vital to our everyday life; from facebook to ebay to online classes, we certainly depend on the Internet to get us through daily tasks. Our advantage of the Internet has in a way limited our desired to have face to face conversations instead, we accept emails, instant messages and chats to converse with our peers and loved ones. Perhaps we will one day go back to those one on one conversations; but for now we will settle with facebook to express ourselves and online sites to entertain us for long periods of time.

The first week of Class:
I have been attending SJSU for 4 years now and this by far has been the worse beginning of the semester. The word of the week was "intimidation," every professor was on dick mode and were turning people down left and right. Then again I don't blame them since there is nothing that can be done by them other then turn students down. I believe it is up to us to make a change in our education system and protest the unfair increases we are facing. With that said it is time to do something about this! Who's with me?! Well I guess not, but that was what I felt a lot of this entire 2 weeks we have been back.
